George Poulakidas is one of Genome BC’s Genomics and Society Advisors, focused on the ethical, environmental, economic, legal and social aspects of genomics.

Having worked in various roles in the intersection of innovation, social impact and political science, George brings multiple perspectives to the organization. His previous role was Senior Advisor at the Advanced Technologies Unit at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. Other previous roles include researcher at the Innovation Policy Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto and intern at the United Nations in New York.
