Kennedy’s doctoral research explores the unmet need for clinical genetic services in Canada and identifies strategies to improve equitable access to care. She plans to use both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Additionally, Kennedy works as a research genetic counsellor on the GenCOUNSEL project, where she is involved in a number of research projects that seek to characterize the need for genetic counselling and testing and the workforce required to meet this need.
