Dr. Ellie Griffith leads Genome BC’s team of Sector Managers in health. Working with her team, Ellie oversees Genome BC’s health portfolio, stakeholder engagement, partnership and proposal development within the health sector to leverage the application of ‘omics’ in ways that improve the health and wellness of British Columbians.
Ellie holds a PhD in cancer genetics from the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow and BSc and Master’s degrees from the University of Manchester. Following her PhD, she carried out postdoctoral research studying the function of plant siRNA in mammalian systems at the University of Glasgow followed by a position as Career Development Fellow at the MRC Human Genetics Unit in Edinburgh where she studied rare inherited disorders affecting brain size.
