Phoebe Melvin works with the communications team at Genome BC to make science and genomics interesting and engaging to the general public, particularly across our social media channels and public events. Creating thought provoking content is central to her role, sharing the amazing variety of topics within the field of genomics, and the incredible diversity of the work funded by Genome BC.
Phoebe has honed her skills as a science communicator internationally in the tertiary education and museum sectors. Beginning her career delivering science workshops to 100,000 Australian students, Phoebe subsequently managed the education team at the prestigious Natural History Museum of London in the United Kingdom prior to joining the team at Genome BC. These experiences highlighted for her the need to make science fun, relatable and inspiring.
