Gustavo has been involved in the natural resources sector in the public service for over a decade. Most of his work has focused on understanding and addressing the socio-economic consequences of resource development in impacted communities. His work spans mining, oil and gas, and now forestry, with a focus on partnerships with Indigenous communities. Here in BC, Gustavo has been leading the development of a forest bioeconomy, aiming to transition the sector from high volume to high value.
