Carl de Boer is an Assistant Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and a Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar. He completed his PhD under the guidance of Tim Hughes at the University of Toronto, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Aviv Regev’s lab at the Broad Institute until late 2019. Subsequently, he transitioned to his current role at UBC. In his research, he focuses on developing genomic and computational tools to unravel the intricacies of genome regulation, with the ultimate goal of advancing our understanding and treatment of diseases.
