Dr. Kyla Hingwing is a Research and Innovation Manager, Health at Genome BC working to foster relationships with academic, industrial, and healthcare stakeholders to further the implementation of genomics in the health space. She supports the development of novel genomics opportunities for Genome BC and Genome Canada funding programs and assists in managing funded projects. In addition, Kyla helps oversee Genome BC’s Entrepreneurship Partnership Program portfolio to promote life sciences entrepreneurship in BC.

Kyla brings several years of industrial research, technology development and management experience to Genome BC. This includes working with BC biotech companies from inception through pre-clinical experimentation. Kyla hopes to use this industrial knowledge to help nurture young BC biotech companies through developing collaborations with academia, government, and healthcare.

Kyla holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University.
