Dr. Stirling Bryan is a health economist, currently researching the cost-effectiveness of genomic interventions in depression care and kidney transplantation. He began his career in the United Kingdom and immigrated to Canada in 2008. He is a professor in UBC's School of Population & Public Health, and a senior scientist at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology & Evaluation at the VCH Research Institute.
In 2021, he was appointed Chief Scientific Officer for British Columbia’s health research agency, Michael Smith Health Research BC. Stirling is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and currently serves as President for the Canadian Association for Health Services & Policy Research.
