Dr. S. Evelyn Stewart is a child and adolescent psychiatrist, as well as a clinical and neuroscience researcher. She is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and the founding director of the BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) Provincial Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Clinic and Research Program. She also holds the Congdon Family Hospital Chair of Child and Youth Mental Health Research at BC Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Stewart is the Director of the Brain, Behaviour & Development theme at BCCH Research Institute, the Research Director for the BCCH Child, Youth and Reproductive Mental Health Program, and an investigator at BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services.

She has authored over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 13 chapters, and one book on family, genetic, cognitive, and treatment aspects of OCD and related illnesses throughout the lifespan.

In addition to her research, she serves on the Scientific Advisory Boards for the International OCD Foundation and Anxiety Canada and regularly lectures at IOCDF Behavior Therapy Training Institutes.
