Healthy Approaches: Promoting inclusive, knowledge-driven, and equitable patient care in research studies

Patients must have a say in the care they receive; however, much work is needed to ensure that genomic health care is equitable and accessible for all. This session will examine important questions such as do patients have a say in the type of research being pursued and how research findings are shared? How do we ensure inclusive research participant representation? How do we ensure that people in rural and marginalized communities have access to these life-saving technologies?
