Genome BC is a not-for-profit organization that has advanced genomics research and innovation for nearly 25 years, growing a world-class life sciences sector in BC and delivering sustainable benefits for British Columbia, Canada and beyond.

Genome BC has attracted over $1 billion in direct co-investment to the province, which has contributed to funding more than 550 genomics research and innovation projects. These initiatives enhance healthcare and address environmental and natural resource challenges, improving the lives of British Columbians.

Genome BC also integrates genomics into society by supporting responsible research and innovation and fostering an understanding and appreciation of the life sciences among educators, students and the public.

Genome BC's Annual Genomics Forum aims to help bridge the gap between academia, industry and policy makers, sharing advancements and sparking new ideas in research toward solving some of the world’s pressing challenges through life sciences.

Each year, we bring together world-class innovators in life sciences to discuss topical issues, share  knowledge and research outcomes, provide networking opportunities, and more.

Traditionally, the Annual Genomics Forum brings together leaders from the life sciences community, business, industry, and policy makers. This year's hybrid event is also open to the general public as well as teachers and students.

Genomics Forum 2025 highlights how BC-led research is transforming precision health. We'll explore the real-world impact of precision health research, featuring expert-led discussions on cancer care, pharmacogenomics, rare disease diagnosis, and maternal-child health.

As Genome BC marks 25 years, we’re looking ahead—showcasing how genomics, collaboration, and innovation are shaping the future of healthcare.  Join us in person or online to connect with leaders and be part of what’s next in precision health.
